The Author
Frank Reteguiz
I’ve dedicated my life to storytelling—an obsession that began in childhood through authors like Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and R.L. Stine, and deepened with influences like Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and Dan Brown. I was first encouraged to pursue writing during my senior year at the University of West Florida, when a professor praised my engaging style.
My storytelling sharpened during my time as a police officer in Savannah, where my detailed crime reports earned recognition. I later worked security for Disney Cruise Lines, traveling the world and drawing inspiration for horror fiction. I self-published my first serious novel, At the End of All Things, and eventually launched The Malediction of Llewyn Glass independently after over 200 rejections—selling books at art markets and bars with a “Buy a Book, Get a Free Shot” promo that gained fans and media attention.
After a layoff from Tesla during the pandemic, I committed fully to writing, chasing the dream of making a living through powerful, unforgettable stories. As of 2024, I work as a Private Investigator in Jacksonville, continuing to write and self-publish in pursuit of that dream.
