The Storyteller

Frank Reteguiz

The man mapping the hidden roads of American myth.

A Fun, Awkward, and Fascinating Man

From Brooklyn to American Myth

Frank Reteguiz was born in Brooklyn, New York, and transplanted to Jacksonville, Florida at eleven years old — a displacement that would later echo through every road-worn character in the American Lore universe. He studied psychology at the University of West Florida, an education that shows in how precisely his stories unravel the minds behind the monsters.

Storytelling, myth, and the mechanics of belief obsessed him since boyhood, but the pen didn’t meet the page until a friend pushed him to finally write it all down. Frank draws from a wide well: the dark whimsy of Neil Gaiman, the dread of Stephen King, the mythic structure of Joseph Campbell, the sharp cuts of Tarantino and Nolan. His goal isn’t just to entertain — it’s to write stories that, one day, become part of modern mythology.

The Road Here

“My goal is to tell stories that will one day not only entertain audiences, but become part of modern mythology.”

— Frank Reteguiz
